Grazie is a writing and communication companion for software professionals. It is brought to you by JetBrains – the company behind IntelliJ IDEA, Kotlin, and many other developer tools.

1. Install the Grazie extension in Chrome.
2. Sign in with your JetBrains Account, or create one at https://auth.grazie.ai. You can also use your Apple ID or Google Account.
3. Pin the extension to the toolbar so you can quickly tune its settings and access Grazie’s AI chat whenever you want.
4. Go to your favorite website, choose some text to adjust, and see what Grazie can do with it. Or just start typing in a text field and see what Grazie suggests.

Yes, this is the free version, but we’ve got a Grazie subscription on the horizon with even more features.

— How does Grazie differ from other writing tools?

Grazie combines a rule-based approach and machine learning models that are specifically trained on high-tech industry content, ensuring a deep understanding of context and offering accurate suggestions when working on technological and scientific texts.

In content generation tasks, the understanding of your writing style and context helps us create efficient prompts for querying external LLMs and generate content that is engaging and relevant for technical audiences and is in line with your company's brand voice.

We also develop our own language models and plan to gradually replace third party LLM providers in the future. Our long-term objective for Grazie is to provide an intelligent assistant that can function as an on-premises solution.

— How safe is Grazie?

Grazie, like all other JetBrains products, adheres to strict measures to protect the privacy and security of user data:
We don’t use any text you type for training our language models.
We ensure that none of your texts are retained in the memory or logs of our servers.
The only user input available to our team is the one that is provided using the “Incorrect suggestion” dialog or feedback forms.
Content generation features are currently powered by OpenAI, but in the future, we plan to support local and on-premises models.
