Search through Youtube subtitles and get to the exact spot in the video! Compatible with all languages that the subtitles support.

NOTICE: DOES NOT YET WORK WITH YOUTUBE MATERIAL DESIGN. In the meantime, please revert to the old Youtube Layout by clicking your profile in the upper right hand corner. and then "Restore Old Youtube", if you wish to use this extension. This extension will be updated to work with Youtube's new design once it is officially released, and is no longer in Beta. Thank you for your patience :)

Have you ever watched a lecture on Youtube, but afterwards forgot what the Professor said about Chebyshev’s Inequality? Or were you studying for a final and you wanted to find the part where the Instructor proved Fermat’s Little Theorem? So then you find yourself skimming though hour long videos to look for that topic. Well now, you can effortlessly find the spot in the video with a little help from ‘Youtube Subtitles Search’ for FREE!

This is an extremely useful and user-friendly Youtube Subtitles Search Tool that allows you to get right back to the topic that you were looking for. Searching is as easy as 1-2-3!

UPDATED USAGE:
1. Head on over to the Youtube Video that you wanted to search in.
2. If the video has subtitles, a Search-bar will appear underneath the video: search for keywords or phrases.
3. Click the phrase that best matches what you’re looking for, and you will be brought to the time in the video when that phrase was spoken.

Previous Versions Usage (Required clicking the extension popup button):
1. Head on over to the Youtube Video that you wanted to search in, and enable Subtitles by clicking the ‘CC’ button (usually found at the bottom right hand corner of the video).
2. Open up ‘Youtube Subtitles Search’, and search for keywords or phrases.
3. Click the phrase that best matches what you’re looking for, and you will be brought to the time in the video when that phrase was spoken.

And that’s it!

Please note that the quality of the search results depends on the quality of the subtitles attached to the video and not all Youtube videos are captions enabled.
