Tab overdose? Tabs Timer allows users to configure a countdown timer after which tabs are automatically closed.
Tabs Timer allows users to configure a countdown timer after which tabs are automatically closed.
Features:
- configurable timer
- options page
- configurable number of permanent tabs (these are right-most or left-most tabs which are not subject to the timer)
- enable/disable button in toolbar - the extension can be enabled/disabled per Chrome window
- transition between permanent and non-permanent tabs (by moving the to/out of a permanent location by either closing tabs, opening new tabs or reshuffling existing tabs)
- timer displayed in tab title
Caveats:
- timer is not shown for tabs whose title is "New Tab"
- configuration options are global and they apply to all windows where the extension is enabled
- timer value si shared by all tabs, but the timer for each individual tabs starts whenever the tab is created
