SurfPatrol extension is a free and simple online security aid for browser and plugin security checking.
The main goal of SurfPatrol is to help to protect a computer from e-money stealing, to prevent e-mail and social network accounts from being hacked and confidential information from being lost.
SurfPatrol allows keeping abreast of the current security state of your computer. The extension has been developed by Positive Technologies, a company included in TOP-10 of the world’s best information security corporations.
SurfPatrol invisibly scans your browser and signals to you if any vulnerability in Chrome or its plugin is found. Notifications are displayed on the browser’s toolbar.
Clicking the extension icon, you will be forwarded to the SurfPatrol report page, where you can inspect which programs are insecure and get recommendations how to eliminate vulnerabilities. SurfPatrol provides links only to patches on official sites of development companies.
The following platforms are maintained: Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS.
