It gives you access to all your email signatures for use with popular webmail services such as

Tell me more about how you support other devices with smtp #tag?

  * For email clients and mobile devices that we do not have an app for, we have provided an alternative method to support email signatures via #tag; this method is only supported via a smtp settings change (i.e. this will tell your program to send email using our server), access to your signatures is then available through inserting the relevant #tag into the body of your email.

What desktop clients can you support?

  * Most, because all email clients use smtp to send email, and most allow you to 
change those settings
