o-o-0-o-o adds an Smart Search Bar, which automatically grabs selected text and search queries.
Envision the traditional Firefox search bar, and add the alternative, additional Smart Search Bar, which will automatically grab selected text on any page; and if there's no selected text on the page, it will automatically grab text from the search field on the page, headers or titles. Different from the traditional Mozilla search bar, in an attempt to get rid of unnecessary actions such as, drag & drop, or if you need to do a search query or title, then you can perform two actions at once: select and drag & drop.
The goal, is to make searching the little things easier and faster, and to free up time, energy and resources for more important things. The Smart Search Bar is most useful for engaging Firefox fans, who often do a lot of searches using different systems, for example, on Amazon Professional or on StackOverflow.
Especially useful plugin will be to programmers who often search on StackOverflow, because there are two StackOverflow searches buttons: a built-in search on the site itself, and Google search for SO site. So if you are a fan of Google search on StackOverflow, now you don't need to type extra 0b1101 letters each time, plus don't need to unnecessary action drag&drop. Same for Craigslist. In the most popular sites in the world, these are 2 most commonly used for searches on site with such long names.
The additional, the Smart Search Bar is an especially useful plugin for programmers who often do searches on StackOverflow, because there are two StackOverflow search options: a built-in search on the site itself, and Google search for SO on the site. So, if you are a fan of Google search on StackOverflow, now you don't need to type the extra 0b1101 sequence each time, plus, you don't need to perform unnecessary actions, such as drag & drop. Same applies to sites like Craigslist. On the most popular sites in the world, these are the two most commonly used functions for searches on a site with exceptionally long names.
In many cases, Google's search by the domain, is better than the built-in, site search option. Exceptions such as: Amazon or ThePirateBay do not allow users the option to create using paint. On many sites there is no built-in search. In this instance, using the Smart Search Bar, the search options for domain and subdomain, will be extremely useful and convenient. By the way, search by the current domain is one more option and improvement from the traditional Firefox search bar.
By the way, the add-on has the name and domain: o-o-0-o-o.com, because I originally intended to add links to competitors for user convenience, not only to search engines results pages, but primarily on airlines ticket search sites, in order for users to not have to re-enter the dates and points of departure and arrival each time, on each airline site, and aggregator. However, I haven't completed this functionality yet.
